  1. Im glade I found your website before I found some other baloney training on youtube. You Da Man trav.

  2. The Wing Chun guy focused on the centerline and therefore had no head movement, threw only straight punches, and had no power coming from his legs at all. He couldn’t have hurt anyone.

  3. That boxer was fighting totally unfair… why didn’t he just stand still for WingChun a beating!

  4. WC man seem to be a novice… student at best where the one arm man was both aggressive and stronger. I disagree that this is a fair representation of any value>? Lets see that with a 30 yr Sefu in WC and the same one arm guy.. I would suggest is total different outcome.

  5. Was the boxer;’s opponent supposed to be some kind of Wing Chun master? If so, his performance was certainly poor P. R. for that particular martial art.

    • FYI,

According to the Daily Mail, the wing Chun guy was a 20-year old kid who claims to be a descendent of Ip Man. Definitely doesn’t seem to be some “master”, at least to anyone other than himself.

Not defending Wing Chun or disagreeing with the sentiment that MMA is more effective in self-defense scenarios. I totally agree. I just wanted to let anyone interested know.

  6. Well, the Wing Chun guy has nothing to do with Wing Chun. I agree that this is not an art for the 21st century but in that particular battle if the wing chun guy was good this boxer was going down. First of all the wing chun guy wasn’t stable, he didn’t do not 1 block with punch move, the kicks were not the wing chun low kicks, he was not entering the opponent body. Well, this wing chun guy can be beaten by 70 years old pigmei woman with one hand, but not because the martial art, but because he suck.
