  1. Really shows how important position still is, even (or especially?) when you can poke eyes, and do all the other unspeakable “too dangerous for MMA” stuff.

    • I agree! Though it’s interesting to note that a well placed poke from the bottom guy could shift the tide… whereas in MMA, there are really very few diabolical options from the inferior position.

As you say though, still always better to be on top.

  2. First time I see true dirty fighting or street survival tactics applied. Quite undesirable to watch indeed. What I don’t understand is the complaint of the aggrieved person. Eye gauging was not allowed? If so why the other win?

    • I believe that it is allowed, but I didn’t actually do any research! I just saw the guy getting his eye stabbed and the red doing nothing to suggest illegality.

  3. Ooow my money was on the the guy with the shirt on, did he actually take out his gum guard to pull his tongue 🤪

    • I couldn’t even watch the whole thing, if I’m being honest. My brain is forced to imagine myself in that situation, and it puts my into a state of deep anxiety.

  4. he had a chance to bite two fingers off, [his mouth piece came out, and fingers went in his mouth , during eye gouge]…very dirt down , …first thought in your brain is the “pain” in your eye

      • The takedown is at about the 3:06 in the vid. As for the eye gouging… If it is even possible to be respectful of gouging somebody’s eye out, It appears he was aomewhat restrained in his gouging… He appeared to be going in the lower corner of the eye, as opposed to plunging his fingers deep into his sockets. His intent appeared to be causing pain more than actually physically damaging his eyes. But that’s just my perception probably I know he was trying to blind the dude…

  5. I’ve seen some brutal street fights and been in a couple. This is how it goes down, like it or not. When I was in the Army, one of my friends pushed his thumbs so far into a guy’s eye sockets. He said he could feel the dude’s eyeballs squirming around in his skull. It was sickening. I won a fight by doing a scoop kick on a guy’s balls. This is real life boys. Don’t fight unless you have to.

    • Excellent thank you Darren for someone calling a spade a spade.

That’s what my fights have always been too – survival there’s no rules or laws in that other than following your morale compass after you have neutralised the threat.

Last fight I walked away with a fractured eye socket and gravel in my head but it was me vs 13 and I still managed to walk out of there pretty busted up and got arrested but that’s the real meaning of fighting rather than tactical sport

      • You vs. 13?!?!?!?!
We absolutely need to know how this happened and how you survived!
Did a friend come to your rescue?

        • Regular disrespectful bad behaviour threat to my families peaceful existence and home that we’ve worked hard for from professionally unemployed tax payer funded neighbours.
Had enough jumped the fence told them to shut the fuck up
Miss counted by about half how many were actually there.
Physical altercation against multiple blokes including having rocks thrown at me by the women while fighting with the men.
I was dragged out of there by police and got in the shit again for my efforts.
No charges raised against me from neighbours.
I obviously didn’t win the fight against 13
But from that day forward neighbours kept their shit under control.

My family and kids could sleep in peace again without having to listen to drug fuelled parties and yelling fights etc all night in the property behind us

  6. It clearly looks as if the guy in the T-shirt wasn’t expecting the other guy to go for the eyes! So were the rules not explained properly? If they were told that ANYTHING goes, then surely he would have known this. And yes in a street fight fighting for your life or to protect your family, then anything goes would be appropriate. Still wouldn’t fancy coming up against either of these 2 guys.

    • I think that it might be one of those cases of mistaken mutual decency. I, for one, will not strike nuts in a fight… until the other guy does, at which point the gentleman’s agreement is violated. One duelist shoots his pistol in the air, the other shoots the guy in the nuts.

      • Don’t know if a gentleman’s agreement is appropriate in a street fight. If as you say, you would wait until the other guy hits you in the nuts then let’s be real, that could be the finish of you. I think it it all depends on who you are up against, I think you can sense what type the other guy is and you will know how much force and what action you can lay on him.

          • But as I mentioned, the one being hit in the nuts might not be able to come back to reciprocate, if bad enough, then you might just find the other guy following up with more blows while you are bent over in agony, therefore fight over. All because the other guy got in first.

    • If your life was TRULY in danger, there was a clear opportunity for a throat bite that would absolutely be taken if I was in a real life or death scenario there.
