I don’t believe in hitting girls, period. This guy was afraid of the crowd, coming at him, so he wanted to impress them with an overwhelmingly, scary response. If I were him, I’d be embarrassed, but I don’t hit girls, so he’s probably proud of himself.
Okay wow. So at first, I thought these were 15-18 year olds that knew better. It’s still wrong for them to gang up on him BUT I found out by reading the news that he is 6’5 like 200 something pounds and the girl…WAIT for it…was ELEVEN YEARS OLD! (Some sources say 12)
A 51-year-old 6’5 tall and 200-pound man vs. a 11-year old girl. Yeah umm…he could have just WALKED away. They were wrong for ganging up on him, but the whole situation would have been over easily.
Now if they had knives, guns or any type of life threatening force, that’s self defense. At his size, he could have just walked right through them and left.

Eric, that’s exactly what my mom said! My dad, who bought me a T-Ball-style punching bag in the 1950’s in order to help me learn how to throw an effective punch, told me that “…boys don’t hit girls…”.

Mark, what u fail to realize is these minors have the law ON THEIR SIDE. I DONT CARE what a minors do to provoke you (aside from threatening your life with a deadly weapon, which isn’t the case here) … YOU DONT HIT / STRIKE A MINOR, A LITTLE GIRL !!!! PERIOD!!!
That asshole lacked the mental / emotional “toughness'” (discipline) to keep his “Tarzan Ego” out of it. He should have had the ‘mental toughness’ to simply walk away.

People can sit here and argue this till they are blue in the face. Right? Wrong? Coulda? Shoulda? Doesn’t make a bit of difference. It happened, things like this do happen. There’s a little saying that says “you mess with the bull, you get the horns”. Ring any bells? You think people started saying that cause it sounded cool? No, it means you’re actions have consequences and you better not do something unless you’re willing to deal with with the possible repercussions of those actions. Those girls gambled when they decided to mess with him that he would not defend himself. That girl lost that gamble, and how any one feels about whether it’s right or wrong is irrelevant. Some people may turn the other cheek and some may drop you with a well timed, well placed, vicious left. If anyone is to blame it’s her parents for not teaching her to accept responsibility for her actions. There’s a million other guys around who would react the same way. It’s on them if they want to roll the dice and hope the one they choose to pick on is not one of those guys. They may be right most of the time, but the time they’re wrong this is the result and I do not blame him.
Sorcerer, I don’t advocate guys hitting girls, but what I saw in the video was an acception. He already had the ‘mental toughness and he already ‘MANNED UP’ by protecting his family and himself. What he did is what you call SELF DEFENSE. In this case walking away would have been COWARDACE. The bitch got what she deserved. That ‘darling little girl’ was stupid enough to provoke that man by getting in his face and did not respect her elders along with her friends. People like you are out to feminize men.
