I didn’t hit back. I’ll have brain damage for the rest of my life. The law never touched her. It’s a social issue that plagues us. We’re raised to never raise our hands, so we don’t, and as we witness in this video and others like it, there are a minority of women who take full advantage of it. Female domestic abuse of men is an epidemic, and there is no recourse, nowhere for a man to find help. A man is shamed for allowing “his woman” to hit him. He is mocked by the public, even laughed at during a public assault. So is it okay for a small man to smack a big guy around? Friends and family feel powerless, if not ashamed. Social services are set up only to serve women victims of domestic violence. And the law will at best “remove” the man from a home for 24 hours when the neighbors call the cops, at worst arrest him. Men are prone to staying in an abusive relationship the same as women are. Classic codependence. “I can fix this, right?” Formerly a successful professional, I now struggle with memory lapse, word finding, basic problem solving, and fine motor skills. Just yesterday I couldn’t figure out how to operate my DVD player. And for what? For not defending myself. What is the answer? How far to take it? To what degree? Because no matter what, I would have gone to jail. But at least I wouldn’t be on disability for the rest of my life. And within this new life, I have discovered that my path is littered with other men who have suffered the same fate, more men than I could have ever imagined.
If you’re facing a group you can’t run away from I thought the first rule was to take out the first person fast. Shoving this girl didn’t scare her off and I’m pretty sure if he just started shoving the rest away they would have moved in. They may have been teenage girls but as a group they could have beaten him easily.
You said it. The gal who came back at him instead of realizing her actions have consequences, and stay out of trouble, defiantly not to be the one who causes it, is a good advice to anyone. Plus he didn’t totally blow it out of proportion. Someone else might have continued to ground and pound.
I believe that once a situation has gone physical, it won’t end in regular street fight, until one of the fighters is beaten and realizes it and that happens mostly only when that one is beaten to good stop. Thus if you don’t want to get hurt even by small and week fighter (scratched eyes ext) you want the fight to end as fast as possible. Which is what we saw here instinctively.

At the end of the day he was surrounded by increasingly aggressive females who were closing in while his family was ALSO potentially in Danger.
So I hope ALL of those females learned that You cant predict what level of Violence you will receive when you threaten someone else with Violence
That punk was TOTALLY in the wrong, and he deserves to be horse whipped for hitting that helpless little girl. U gotta remember, young girls will be girls; they lack maturity. Tarzan didn’t like their attitude, so he should have MANNED UP and walked away from them! Now after a family member sees the video, he set himself up for a Major beating, as well as assault charges , and a trip to jail.
If I had been there, I would have either pepper sprayed him, or given him a beating myself — and all 100% legally, as I would be TAKING HIM OUT as a way of protecting the children.

Clearly she self-identified as a 300 lb Street Fighter with Superior martial arts skills. That being said seems she has the right to step into the ring with whoever she likes. Just because she brought her own audience doesn’t guarantee a win. Better luck next time girly
I was a prosecutor for a while. I had to decide cases like this. If a cop brought this to me AND there was no other backstory, then I would not prosecute him. If this is the only evidence then he defended himself reasonably under the circumstances (not a proportionate response, though some states may have that rule). The general rule under California self-defense law is that you are only allowed to use as much force as is necessary to combat the force being used against you. However, if you have previously been threatened by your attacker, you are entitled to act more quickly and with more force than someone who has not been threatened.
She attacked him and he pushed her away. But he did not escalate it. She did when she approached with her fists raised indicating that she was going to punch him. He threw one punch. He seems to have stopped there. That is reasonable. As we all know from the Fighting Bigger People videos, a small person can hurt a bigger person. So he had a right to stop her.
I remember reading somewhere that it’s justified to KILL an attacker as a proportionate response, if 1) the attacker has a knife, 2) if there are multiple attackers. There are multiple attackers here, and whether the above information is correct or not, my opinion is that he’s already been assaulted by multiple people, there was no telling how far they were willing to go with it anyway, and his child and wife were at possible danger too. No matter your age, you can’t push people around, it constitutes an assault, and the assaulted has the right to defend him/herself even if the other person merely walks up to his/her face, and rightly so. We all have the right to be safe and stupid, violent kids must be locked down and physically hurt if that’s what it takes for respectful people to be safe and for these fuckers to know how to behave in a civilized way. If he goes to jail after this, it’s the PC culture to blame.
