Many athletes have experienced this: being “in the zone”. It’s like you are not thinking about acting, but just acting. His description of being “not mindful” is exactly right. For me, its happened after really intense preparation, then just letting go of trying and even caring, just doing. It’s rare, but amazing when it happens.
