The Pinnacle of Fight Mentality

Cory Sandhagen Breaks It All Down

Here's the comment section...

Humans like to talk about things.

  • Great conversation…this is the essence of martial arts, really….can be applied to real life situations if the shit hits the fan. Staying of calm mind is the biggest challenge.

  • Some spiritual teachers call that Flow, and/or, being on the Continuum persistent wellbeing. Welcome home Cory.

  • That was a great freaking clip! Disability to watch/witness your state of mind without getting sucked into it is a legit skill that applies as much to any life situation as it does to fighting

  • Many athletes have experienced this: being “in the zone”. It’s like you are not thinking about acting, but just acting. His description of being “not mindful” is exactly right. For me, its happened after really intense preparation, then just letting go of trying and even caring, just doing. It’s rare, but amazing when it happens.

  • Trav,

This was very insightful, your intro to the email for this video shows your wholistic approach to the fight game which makes you a great teacher. Thank you for sharing your perspective on the way of the warrior.
