That was my favorite video from you so far. Amazing how quickly the internet made the world smaller. 1988, wasn’t all that long ago, but apparently it was in the context of martial arts. People did not know the effectiveness of muay thai yet. They didn’t realize the devastation of leg kicks.
that is a spot on comment there… i thought that if Rick could have switched to left hand he would have had a much better chance but dang them kicks to the soft leg tissue are killer
Rick dominated the upper striking while the Thai fighter’s devastating low kicks was too much. Thai ‘s philosophy destroy the foundation, no footing ,no punching power.
Jeff Roufus’ comments totally missed the point. “It doesn’t take much talent to kick somebody in the legs.” If talent were the issue we’d have to give the fight to Michael Jordan. Talent ain’t the issue Jeff.

God, I’m old. I remember watching this live. Wow, yes, a lot to be said about toughening up the legs and having good low kicks.

Yep..
Why wasn’t the first round a tko?
I thought 1st round could have been tko. Not sure of all the rules involved just an opinion.
