Just learned last week it’s a trigger safety. The center of the trigger has a little extra… I dunno, mini trigger in it. If you try to pull the trigger without first pulling in the center of the trigger, the trigger won’t move.
It’s called a “blade safety”. This sort of design is not exclusive to Glocks, and is the cause of great disageement when it comes to trusting them to keep you from shooting anyone by accident…including yourself. You must be hypervigilant about pointing blade-safety guns in a safe direction every single second without exception.
Glock Pistols have a safety lever on the trigger. It extends out a bit, but when you squeeze the trigger it retracts inside. Some Smith & Wesson Pistols have the same type of trigger safety, under license from Glock.
Trav, awesome video!! I’m gonna make my wife watch this. We both conceal and carry but this is exactly what she needs to see to inspire her. Thanks for the technical instruction on this brother!!

Good video. Repetition is the mother of knowledge. The practice is the key.
Don’t forget to take the safety off. Practice that as well
Glock has no safety to my knowledge.
i think its a grip safety but don’t quote me on it. Glocks are not my thing.

How the heck would you even pull the trigger without pulling the ‘center trigger’ thingy?
You can’t.
By practicing, duh!!

I read “tradie” in the email title and have to admit I was confused for a minute how the content related.
Great practical video. Appendix draw is the best.
