  1. Well done! Thanks! This is a nice synergy between traditional martial arts and pistol craft!

The draw stroke is actually 5 separate movements which, when done correctly is smooth and appears as Trav’s single motion. Perhaps something worth noting is that when the draw stroke is done VERY SLOWLY (which builds muscle memory) and the practitioner takes his/her time to align the sights (bringing the sights to the eye, not the head/eyes to the sights) another form of muscle memory begins to build which is the feeling of having the barrel aligned with the target. Once this has been practices a few thousand times, the requirement for seeing the sights drops off and one can begin having confidence in “point” shooting. Again, good “point” shooters have practiced the slow draw and sight alignment many, many times!

    Keep ’em coming!

  2. Awesome kicks! Usually guys (even bad guys LOL!) are just posturing OR tend to telegraph their moves or intentions or use jabs (sometimes just verbal ones) to escalate. Probably because of an evolutionary instinct developed from fighting to avoid it because it’s usually not a fair fight. And of course, the social norms & laws favouring a specific demography. But obviously this lady in a dress & heels doesn’t have those inhibitions.

Anyways, thanks trav, great video like as always. I love your moves. Cheers. ✌🤗

BTW your zip was open. Don’t worry I didn’t stare. Or think about you before sleeping.

  3. Thanks, T. I worked on just this with my KM instructor about 3 months ago. We were testing the ability to draw and shoot an attacker with a knife by the 21 foot rule. Instructor donned a chest shield and full bore ran at me from across the room with a rubber knife. It was literally impossible to draw and shoot, even from retention with a maniac running at you. Only thing that worked was the back leg front kick and sometimes twice in order to get enough space even with the slide back to shoot. We worked various scenarios and defenses and it was the only thing that worked. Big take-a-ways, #1 I needed to get past fear factor of a huge guy running at me with a knife (it was mind numbing at first even when I knew it was coming and I. About the same size man) #2 I had to rep quite a few times to judge the distance of the kick/s correctly. After an hour of multiple kicking and drawing, I was almost flawlessly doing this with no fear factor. Great real life drill, thanks for posting.

  4. You are só experiênced and pedagogic! Repetition is awesome. Video edition is super pro and funny. Million Thanks ♡

  5. Thrust kick into bang! good one! perhaps a side step on the kick retraction. It would work with pepper spray too for us firearm challenged persons.
