  1. I’m Rooting For Cerrone Here But Conor Wins This Fight By TKO in Under 2 Rounds Cowboy Has No Real Head Move Ment The Dude Always Leaves His Chin Open for shots just go look at all of his fights like the Gathje fight is a Perfect Example he has no head movement he’s a stand in front of you let’s go to war see who falls first Kinda guy which is why we like him however If he doesn’t take Connor down and mix things up to set up his strikes he Eats The Left Hand of Conor and gets Staind! In Under 2 Rounds.

  2. McGregor in Rd 1 or 2. Cowboy beat raging Al I., but looked like a shot fighter against Ferguson and Gaethje. I don’t think he can take a decent punch anymore and even though McGregor doesn’t have the power at the higher weight he had at featherweight and lightweight, it should be enough to take out Cerrone. I think Dana White carefully picked Cerrone (knocked out 2X in the space of 3 months) to get Connor back in he UFC. Why not have him face Masvidal instead? Because Masvidal beats Connor down and knocks him out. This fight is about White, the UFC and Connor milking Connor’s popularity for $$$$.

Connor, the best striker in the UFC? You were right in your assessment of Nate Diaz’s stand-up, very sloppy. Remember, that in fight 2 with Diaz, Connor only won a majority decision. What about Jon Jones, and Israel Adesanya from the current crop of fighters and Silva and St. Pierre (even though George had a risk-adverse fighting style) from the past? Connor is a good counter puncher, but the best striker in the UFC? No. Not at all.

  3. Well, there is some interesting post about the fight. “Mr. fight smart, have you ever wondered what will happen to you after death when you are in that grave” (Tahmid, 2020). What! “Don’t see how they call Cerrone “Cowboy,” and he’s not even from Texas” (Joe, 2020). Umm, I’m pretty sure Cerrone is from Denver, and they have cowboys. The cowboys of the open range. “It’s interesting that you chose this fight to open up for predictions” (MCM, 2020). Umm, it’s the main event. This is more of a question; will your complete system and my complete dedication enable me to fight and have a stand-up chance against McGregor” (S. Mendoza Jr, 2020). Hmm, NO! “Cool cowboy will always triumph over wild beast. Cowboy will crack the wild beast’s neck in the 4 round” (Kop, 2020). WOW, OK!
My prediction for the main event, I am hoping that the Cowboy from Denver watched Mr. Fights videos and can crack the wild beast’s neck for the upset without ending up in the grave, but McGregor will be victorious.
Travis, thank you for all you do, brother.

  4. @trav: After watching the fight and then reading your email. Was the match fixed.. Really? Your prediction is so accurate.

  5. This week I listened to most of the ‘the fight is fixed’ commentary with irritation. However I have to say that this was one of the more fixed looking UFC fights that I have seen. After Cerrone dodged a very telegraphed left, he clinched and… did nothing but wait to be hit. Maybe the knee really rang his bell. Maybe he had a mild concussion or something going in. I like the shoulder strikes (Connor must have subscribed to Trav’s head movement program!). Again, just Cerrone looked like he was just standing there waiting to be kicked in the head. McGregor did come with overwhelming force but Cerrone didn’t look like he was really into fighting that fight.

  6. Well..we know how it went.

Don’t wanna be the sour granpa chewing on the results…but
Am I the only one who found that fight a bit suspicious…

    A) Connor was pumped up like never before, and was strong as f*ck, welter weight really works for him (?) and he rocked Cerrone with those shoulder strikes. (? c’mon…)

    B) Cerrone was out of shape, unfocused (?), was surprised (?), intimidated by the ferocity (?), didn’t expect a head kick from a shorter guy (?), Or just’ve hit his expiry date and can’t take punches that much any more. (that’s probable)

    C) (HATE TO SAY) Cerrone was paid to go down. The UFC needed a strong-as-fuck comeback from Connor. That’s the perfect Hollywood narrative, that sells the big revenge match. If he were to lose, that would’ve sucked. So Cerrone got half a mil for 2 mins work into his retirement fund and the next bookings of Connor will be all selling like crazy on the “strong-as-fuck” image set here.

What I can’t get my head through are these.
    1. Shoulder strikes. Yeah…annoying. Like jabs. Can build up…after 3 rounds of eating them. But they don’t rock a pro figher after eating 3. C’mon.
    2. Eating that head kick. Again. Beginning of the fight. Pro kickboxer for 20+ years. Went through a camp. Yet hands down after throwing his own of the same like he never got repeated ever like that. (figthers replying with the same technique is so common he must have that in his nerves )

I didn’t see anything of a fighting will from Cerrone. Just went in like a sparring partner. “Yeah…no one ever hit me with their shoulder, It… hurt…I didn’t know what to do anymore….”

Maybe I’m wrong. Hope to be.

  7. First off. No one saw this over in 40 seconds. Not even Nostradamus. Second, anyone thinking this was a fix ate too many paint chips as a kid. Conor didn’t even tap gloves. He went across ring and threw his left so hard he almost went over Cowboy. The shoulder was the beginning of the end. The first one shocked Donald. The second one made his nose twice as big. The third one his brain turned back in and he realized he needed to get away from that shoulder. Everyone expected a left hand to follow. But left foot it was. Another surprise. I love Cowboy but he never knew what happened. Too fast. Classy guy. He’ll be back. Conor was just amazing that night. Almost like the Aldo fight. Cowboys adorable grandma stole the show…?????
