Unreal. I wished they had have smashed him so he couldn’t get up.
You know what? First of all, I don’t know what was happening there. The officer seemed to be trying to maybe arrest the girl, or detain her, but he doesn’t “slam” her to the ground, and it almost seems that after she is on the ground he exhibits some concern for her. The mob rushes in, displaying no concern for her, or the poor guy who gets pinned up agains the wall next to the cop. The officer displays an amazing amount of restraint in not opening fire. Had that been me, in his shoes, I probably would’ve started blasting caps. Just saying.
It’s true, China is a mess, as all Communist countries tend to end up.
And we have people here that would gladly give up our 2nd amendment rights.
Idiot presidential candidates that campaign on taking our rights away.
Notice the politicians who want to take our guns away? They don’t trust us.

America’s gun laws are idiotic. The entire world is baffled by your insistence on keeping guns, repeated mass shootings and inability to do anything about it. More guns = more deaths, be it murders or suicides. Fewer guns is safer. It’s undeniable. America’s hard-on for weaponry is disgusting, and the vast majority of Americans want stricter controls too. The second amendment is NOT clearly written and is incredibly out of date anyway. And don’t compare to HK, how many casualties have there been in the rioting? How many would there have been if the protestors had all had access to assault rifles?

You are severely uneducated. Countless countries have stripped there citizens of guns. The aftermath is never good. Not only does taking away guns have NO EFFECT on violent crime (see Australia), it typically leads to genocide. Hitler disarmed the Jews, you see how that turned out. Hong Kong citizens aren’t allowed to have guns, you see how that’s turning out. There wouldn’t need to be rioting if they all had assault rifles, because the police wouldn’t be able to beat defenseless women, because they could defend themselves.
All of the amendments is the core of why America is the greatest country in the world. the second amendment protects of all the other amendments. Just because you’re to stupid to understand the mandate in the second amendment doesn’t mean it isn’t clearly defined. It stipulates the citizenry be on par with the federal military. Because when the citizens can’t defend themselves, Hong Kong happens, dumbass.

There are many millions of gun owners in the U.S. Yet people don’t go around shooting each other the way the media has portrayed it.
The reason for gun freedoms is to be able to protect ourselves against government tyranny. There are many Chinese students around here and many of them get a drivers license just so they can buy a gun and enjoy some target shooting and peace of mind allowed by owning a gun. Mass shootings, while tragic, are extremely rare and are usually committed by mentally ill people who were known to be insane and it was illiegal to own a gun. Most of the gun violence in the U.S. is committed by inner city gangsters and thugs who also are not legally allowed to have guns. The best defense against mass shootings is a lot of well trained concealed carry citizens who can gun down a perpetrator before he gets started. Notice these insane people only target places where carrying is not allowed, like schools for instance.

My country is un-invadable because we can field 40 million snipers at any given moment. No one would dare attack us here with ground forces.

Let’s not turn Travs format into a political one. However, I do recommend you read about gun censure around the world and how well it pans out for those who were censured (e.g., Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Cambodia, etc…). Anyone who cites the second amendment is irrelevant today is naive and lacks an appreciation of patterns in history.

I believe Ken is referring to guns in the context of the Chinese government being able to oppress their citizens because they have no guns. He who has all the guns has all the power. Give all of our guns to the government and see how long we retain power over our government.
