I’ve got the cardio of a slug! 65 and my knee and maybe hip need to be replaced. Again. I could definitely learn some head slips/ movement. For the time being it’s mace and a 2×4.
Trav,
Correct me if I am wrong here, but what I am seeing is this: Philly shell works great from a mid-to-long distance but is less effective up close , mainly because the high hand can be trapped and the low hand is limited to uppercuts. Does it make sense to change to orthodox stance if the battle is frequently close in?
Leonard beat Mayweather Sr. who used the shell also, but certainly wasn’t the fighter his brother was. I would have loved to see Leonard fight Mayweather Jr. What a shame they weren’t from the same era. Would have been a great test for Mayweather and the shell.

Damn!
Great video!
I saw both fights at the time, I was in awe. This explanation cracks the mistery of his strategyand shows Julio César’s greatness. Thank you, Trav.
