Great video. I saw two excellent fighters at maximum skill level. It reminded me of what Angelo Dundee said about Holyfield and Tyson. Something like: ‘certain fighters are just a problem for the other guy no matter how great. Holyfield will beat Tyson everyday and twice on Sunday’ – and that’s what this looked like. Chavez’s fight style and stamina was a problem for Mayweather in so many ways.
Wow. Just wow. That power and cardio were tempered with clever strategy (adjusting the aggression of each attack to increase accuracy -> that’s how you win at craps too!!). However something really irked me. The moment Mayweather’s trainer pulled Chavez off of him, the fight should’ve been immediately over. That’s far more dramatic than throwing a white towel in, isn’t it? How can that be legal?

Dang. That was some cardio for real. That was also some good execution of strategy.
That was awesome! Thanks for the vid!

This seems to be a problem that I’m having with Vimeo. Can you please email me and possibly help me to troubleshoot this?

That was very instructive. Every strategy has a weakness, if you know where to look, and have the grit and talent to exploit it.
Fantastic boxer, Chavez.

Yeah I was surprised it wasn’t stopped right then as it should’ve bee.
Great share, Trav!
Holy cats…I never watched or appreciated Chavez—at 240 and can punch a 2×4 n half, Id never fight the little guy! This was a great lesson on technique
