Watch Ernesto Hoost destroy people...

and learn how he did it.

You can learn a lot from today's video, in addition to watching one of the greatest strikers to ever live completely dismantle his opponents.

Ernesto Hoost is a savage, but his most successful tactics are quite simple.

Many times, he uses simple punch combinations to distract and sting his opponents, but the whole time he's actually setting them up for nauseating kicks to the thigh (or knee).  They aren't even paying attention to the lower half of their bodies... and then the hammer drops.

That's just part of his game...

These are the incredibly effective tactics that I want you to get out of this video (which admittedly has some cursing in the soundtrack):

1.  Ernesto has a very special (and easy) combination which I call the "Ernesto Hoost" for obvious reasons.  It's a Left Jab - Right Cross - Left Up-Jab to the Body - Followed by a Right Roundhouse kick.

The first two punches are your basic Jab - Cross... the guys hands go UP to defend his face.   Since the guys guard is UP and not defending his body, that long Up-Jab to the body hits 90% of the time.  Boom.

Once they've been struck to in the stomach, no one is thinking about a roundhouse coming to the leg... and it comes in HARD.  That will land 99% of the time.

***You can see him mangle people with this combination at 0:31, 0:38, 0:56, and 1:21.***

2.  Any time Ernesto is fighting in close with his opponent and they start to separate, he throws a head kick which hooks around and catches the back of the guys head.  No one is ever ready for this... and they just collapse into heaps on the ground.

His foot just hooks around and catches guys on the brain-stem as they try to back away.  Absolutely diabolical....

Admittedly, not everyone has head-kicks in the arsenal, but it's something to strive for (and it's something I can teach you).

He knocks people out with this tactic at 0:29, 0:34, 1:16, 1:46, and 2:28... so it works quite well.

3.  There are a couple of times that Ernesto is just completely BLOWING OUT his opponent's knee joint with these kicks.  This is MCL tearing power, and all you have to do to build it is kick a darn heavy bag enough times.

Witness absolute joint destruction at 1:30, 2:11, and 3:00

4.  The final tip that you can pick up from Ernesto is something that my college roommate from Missouri used to call "Just don't stop Buckin."  You can see that there are certain times when his opponents are not throwing punches in response to Ernesto's attacks... they are just trying to block strikes and slow down the damage.

In these cases, Ernesto just never stops punching.  If your opponent is NOT punching back, then you are not in any danger.  FINISH HIM OFF!  Any time someone just ducks and covers, keep your eyes open, be ready to slip if he throws a punch, but do not stop punching until he hits the ground.

If your opponent is not counter-punching, then you have no reason to STOP.  The same applies to YOU, if you're the type to duck and cover your head.  You must counterpunch.

You can see Ernesto do this ALL through the video... so enjoy it.
