It’s also notable that he had his fingers in his mouth, yet the guy was so distracted by the pain that he didn’t bite down. Many martial artists, without experiencing the situation themselves, might claim they would have just bitten him.
Yeah, it’s perfectly feasible that he had been conditioned by previous MMA rules.

Truly fascinating laboratory here for all the “street only” techniques to get tested. I’ve seen worse accidental eye gouges in the UFC. I’m more fascinated how effective the small joint manipulation tqs will be. Finger and wrist attacks could be devastating.
