Re, the Fighting Bigger People Video, Look at yourself as you have ahold of his shirt and you are rotating around to your right. His massive elbow is ready for your HEAD! Your left hooks to the body won’t be a match for his elbow.
Uh, you off-angle, step to the rear, grab his shirt & pull…doesn’t he automatically elbow you in the face? As to body shots, sure. But wouldn’t jabbing the eyes, palm-striking the nose, punching the throat & groin &/or using a strong ear slap incapitate better?
Excellent advice, I am a 60 year old disabled vet from the U.K. ,I was in SF when injured so was extremely fit at that time now I take maximum oxycodone with lots of other stuff due to the neurological damage my injuries caused ,so I can’t jump around and keep as fit as I was I try to keep my weight down and have started training again , my point is all my fight training is no good up to a point so I am looking to change it to static fighting with emphasis on close in punches and cloth grabbing like this so any tips on improving my close to hitting power would be great, I do worry when out that I have to stand and fight no matter who or how many attack me or god forbid my wife, I would be arrested for manslaughter if any one hurt my with or my son ,as I am physically unable to run away I no I must destroy them before they have any idea what’s happening and can’t recover quickly ,great videos on this one and thanks for vindicating my grab there clothing and get to there rear method as taught in SF regiments
