I guess I never thought of professional fighters experiencing fear before a fight, since the guy has to have already been hit so many times, that he knows he can take it. I’d think the fear might be related more to the potential for humiliation rather than injury…
Thank you so much Trav for this great video that I missed. To hear such a high level fighter talk about concentration, training, fear, out of body experience was a gift. You are so good at finding those gold nuggets ! You must have a complete team working 24/7 searching all the corners of internet ! Thanks !
Took courage to admit some of these things. Think what he is going through is ‘ growing up’. If you can go into a fight with an amount of calmness without the young punk anger you feel you must show, then this might be what he is trying to explain. Hope he keeps this for future fights.
Thanks for this Clip Trav🙏 Cory comes across as such a balanced & dignified human being, not to mention awesome fighter. But he talks about a subject I think many of us here can secretly relate to, but perhaps don’t talk about enough.
I can relate to the mindstate Corey Is talking about, & I hope that everyone here gets to experience it at some point. Mark🥋
Hi Travis hope you’re well. I know how he feels, it’s him being afraid of failure with so much at stake. That anxiety will play on you and distract you from the job in hand that’s what makes it harder. Once Cory becomes successful that pressure eases and the job becomes easier. Relax and flow quicker.
Love your work. How do you do get all the clips.

The fear for me is worse before a fight and disappears during. When I get hit and if it hurts, I get angry.
A link to the fight footage would have been nice.
I can achieve the same state without training, just a comfortable sofa and lots of weed.
great one

Great explanation of Fight Psychology and overall well-being. Plus the added benefit of an interesting Training regimen.
