The "Delayed Chamber Effect"

[kmfblbtns blayout="button_count"]

The throwing of 'off-timing' strikes, is a great way to sneak them in and smite your opponents in their big, dumb heads.

Perhaps it's rude of me to insult your imaginary foes as such... but clearly I'm on your side.

For example, I regularly see folks striking at the same cadence, and simply alternating their strikes: left, right, left, right, left, right.

Even the biggest, dumbest heads can figure out a defense for an alternating, unvarying cadence.

But this is merely an example of "on-timing"... and what I have for you today is a fascinating example of "off-timing" that helped to elevate Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic to legendary status in the game of striking.

CroCop has kicked many heads into a state of slumber, often by kicking to the body several times, before kicking high... but my buddy Andy recently sent me the following video, which introduced me to the "Delayed Chamber Effect" often present in CroCop's most devastating kicks.

Click here if you want to skip directly to the part of the video that discusses the "Delayed Chamber Effect".

Click here if you'd rather see CroCop kick people's heads off for three minutes and twenty-three seconds before being informed of the "Delayed Chamber Effect".

It's like a choose your own adventure newsletter, depending on your available time and bloodlust today...

I have never "off timed" my kicks by delaying the extension of my leg.  I do, however, deceive my opponents by throwing several regular old 'low roundhouses' before throwing a "Question Mark Kick" up high.

For example...

Here's some awesome footage of Luke Rockhold throwing a disgustingly powerful question mark kick, to an extremely dumb, dummy head.

So, you toss a few leg kicks, and then smack the ol' Question Mark Kick... and celebrate your victory while icing your torn groin.

Nevertheless, both of today's 'off timing' kick options are spectacular, and either one can help smarten up the heads of your opponents.

Have a fantastic weekend!
