It’s just that Aikido doesn’t work when you have someone willing to punch you in the face while you’re doing all your little hand circles. Doesn’t work against the single or double leg. Again, you’re only proving that it’s only effective when someone is going to stand there and do things your way so you can chest thump about how awesome Aikido is. It isn’t. I say this because every martial art worth knowing (king-fu, karate, Muay Thai, wrestling, BJJ, Kenpo, western boxing, etc) have all stood the ring test. Aikido practitioners NEVER square up in an actual fight because they know what will happen. There are practical uses, law enforcement could benefit from the joint locks so they wouldn’t keep embarrassing themselves when trying to subdue arrestees. It’s just not good for fighting.
