I think if the flood light was shining on the fat guys house some changes could be made.

Also when thr Skinny guy fixed the light the fat guy offered to shake hands.
If the skinny guy shock hands they could have just let it be.
I would have shook hands and said have a great night.
It would have ended.
You see if the fat guy dies or has a family it does not end.

Absolutely! And fat guy looked very drunk to me. When he sobers up, he’ll be coming back for skinny guy and when he does, I don’t rate skinny guy’s chances.
Yes and no. Ideally yea a peaceful solution is better. But you have to keep in mind that the fat guy showed up drunk on the skinny guy’s property with the purpose of bullying and intimidation. He was actually trespassing at that point. Skinny guy was fully justified. What kind of precedent work that set if he just let it happen?
On the other hand fat guy was drunk. He could have shook his hand after the light was adjusted and talked to him in the morning. “I understand you were drunk but what you did last night was unacceptable. If you have a problem with something we can talk about it sober but you can’t be coming on my property drunk like that”

Skinny appeared to care about fat guys needs to fix light than insulted him by refusing to shake hands.

Everyone knows what happens when these things go wrong.
Skinny was young and I think when he is older he might handel it differently.
