  1. I love you man, seriously. Thank you for sharing so much love changing knowledge. You’re a good dude. My instincts are never off. Except with women

  2. Great video as always Travis. Sound advice. Maybe the guy would still be alive if they did not continue to pursue people trying to get away and avoid the conflict.

To me, it was clear who the aggressors were here.

  3. Great words of wisdom much respect ✊ I believe in today society that all martial arts facilities should be training knife attack scenario as unfortunately this is the world we live in. I look forward to watching more of videos thank you again✊.

    Kind regards

    Kamahl

  4. Thank you Sifu,
We are doing knife training in Hap Ki Do now and this confirms the use of the stance we are being taught, I think those of us who have seen this or any other video of this nature need to remember that lives are lost or traumatized and through that we who can should help others learn how to defend or make people aware of this so that in some small way we honor those who have died this way from the lesson of being naive or just plain not thinking which you can see in that persons stance he is thinking, “what was I thinking” I have your course and me and my friends really like the way you present the material
    Thank you again Sifu

  5. Don’t know the guys history, could be the biggest asshole out or full of violence but still sad and shocking to see another human beings lifeblood flowing out of him at such a rate, leaving him a corpse, as just a minute ago it was contained within him.Just reminds us how delicate and vulnerable our bodies are. Agree with Trav that it would have been better to have raised hands going forward than just by your sides. However just remember that their are arteries in our arms as well, and it only takes a slash of a knife or other sharp instrument making contact to leave us in the same position as that guy.
The guy with the knife had quick reflexes and could easily have slashed the guys leg wide open ( the guy who was taunting him by putting his head forward and pulling back,) as his forward leg had too much weight on it to pull back quickly.

  6. The person with the Knife was backing off and the other group pursued them. In this case, the ones without the knife could have just continued to hurdle insults as the two groups separated. No one is cowered no one is hurt. Though everything you said is true and on point. You had a similar video where a high-ranked BJJist, in a road-raged situation, chased after someone with a gun ( who demonstrated clearly not wanting to fight, was shot and killed. Tragic

  7. The fight was in the Brunswick St Train station in the early hours of the morning. No cops were coming for some time but he didn’t need to be anywhere near that knife. They were just playing heroes and sadly it didn’t work so well for him. He mistook his size as an advantage and it cost him his life.

  8. As usual Trav spot on. The brutality and finality of the video says it all. I have your the knife defence course and have applied the techniques in my martial art class and guess what…… they work. The point made is completely valid, even a little knowledge can be a game changer when you find yourself in a situation where you cannot run away or have to fight for your life or your families.
