I’ve spent 35 years to try and get my sho dan and then I caught covid and all the strength has gone. I know all the kata that is required of me but I haven’t the strength or stamina to do it all. Its going to be hard at 57 and being 1st kyu. Sho dan ho may be for the girl
My eleven year old son, a white belt in kyokushin karate, fights a lot better…
What? At our Karate school we have a down syndrome student a 1000 times more capable who has been coming for over decade and still not received an invitation to a blackbelt test. And kids don’t get blackbelts. That said, I wish the best to this individual. I’m sure this greatly improved their life and perhaps it’s a BB of a more personal status. This is how we should view this. All the best.
