Training Smart:

'Volume' And 'Rate Of Perceived Exertion'

[kmfblbtns blayout="button_count"]

The video that I have for you today absolutely blew my mind... and reenforced things that I had been feeling for years, but refusing to accept.

First things first, when we actually take the time to train, we need to get the most out of it.

Period.

And yet, there are a million ways in which you can sabotage yourself (some more obvious than others):

1. You train hard but then don't eat for hours (underfeeding / hypocaloria)

2. You train hard every day but sleep for 5 hours ("under-resting"... (aka over-training))

Some forms of self sabotage are not so obvious... like when you train crazy hard on a Monday, and end up getting so sore that you rest until Thursday (or even just until Wednesday).

By overworking yourself, you are unable to maintain the ideal training volume.

Less is more, in the vast majority of cases.

And yet, in many cases, our mental obsessions drive us to make stupid training choices.

We're using to 'feeling a certain way' when we leave the gym, and we will actually look down on ourselves if we leave the gym while still feeling energized.

What if you never had to be sore?

What if you would actually be stronger than you had ever been?

What if you never had to scrape yourself up off a mat again... and hobble to your car... and drag your stiff body back inside when you're finally home?

Sometimes working really ridiculously hard sets. us. back.

The answer lies in Intelligent Training Volume...

...and Firas Zahabi of Tristar Gym has some unbelievable tips for you in this respect.

If you watch this video, from start to finish, your mind will be blown, and it might change your life.

Here's a link... please check it out.

He covers all kinds of stuff... and this, my friend, is the stuff of champions.

I'll end this email simply by saying that there's nothing sillier then working really ridiculously hard, and actually working against yourself.

It's just not smart... and this ain't 'Fight Dumb'.

Now have a fantastic weekend.
