A miraculous anti-knife tool...

from the Far East.

[kmfblbtns blayout="button_count"]

In China, you don’t see a lot of guns.

They... uh... don't allow that kind of stuff.

As a result, when crazy folks can't cope with the stress of Chinese life, they grab knives and slay the general public.

It's like a stress ball for those without the 2nd amendment.

However, resourcefulness reigns supreme!

Chinese folks have apparently created a tool to diffuse such attacks.

I give you... this thingy:

It's basically the 21st century version of the ol' Sasumata Pole, from times when crowd control was... aggressive.

Despite the lack of murderous barbs, 2 or 3 of these light aluminum device make a marvelous form of control.

You just need to have a few people on board...

Watch how an entire marketplace works cooperatively to stymie a potentially lethal attack.

It’s clever.

These folks understand their most common threat, and they have prepared themselves as a team.

Speaking of being clever...

Sometimes the appropriate tools can’t arrive quickly enough.

When there's a dude with a massive butcher knife stomping through the train station, your only hope may be a wily old Asian guy with his 'Deception' attributes completely maxed.

Sometimes the best way to win is to make it look like you're not even fighting...

This old fellow leisurely holds his arms behind his back to look unassuming, but then springs into action... displaying the full extent of his wily-ness.

...just before the Sasumata poles drop in to finish the job.

Here in the USA...

The first person to draw a gun is SUPPOSED to put a stop to this kind of thing.

Somehow the 'responsible gun owners' seem few and far between.

(Personally, my 9mm just doesn't feel right in my board shorts.)

Occasionally, you’ll see the 2nd amendment function in the way that it’s supposed to... and in these cases it’s pretty cool.

(Especially if you're an overweight female working at a fast food joint, with absolutely no interest in learning how to fight...)

(One who can't fight better learn to draw a weapon.)

Otherwise, who knows what may happen.

Hey... have a great weekend!
